The International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants last year for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant alleging war crimes. However, this has not stopped Mr Netanyahu travelling to the USA to meet Donald Trump since the US government has not signed up to the ICC.
And it has not stopped Netanyahu brazenly continuing to threaten Palestinians in Gaza with genocide. In the latest incident, it is reported in some Arab news outlets that the Israelis have dropped leaflets on Gaza essentially saying “leave or die”. The text includes statements such as “The world map will not change if all the people of Gaza cease to exist. No one will feel for you, and no one will ask about you. You have been left alone to face your inevitable fate.”
The alleged full text of the leaflets can be read on the websites of The New Arab and Middle East Monitor. The veracity of these reports has not been confirmed or denied to date by Western news media. However, it seems reasonable to conclude that the reports are probably true.
